When we think about vacations, we imagine rest, fun, and memorable moments. However, today, travelers also want their experiences to be responsible and sustainable. Royal Holiday Vacation Club understands this necessity and has integrated sustainability into the heart of its operations, addressing the four fundamental pillars: environmental, social, economic, and cultural.
ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY: TAKING CARE OF THE PLANET

Royal Holiday Vacation Club has implemented diverse initiatives to minimize its environmental impact. For example, in 2024, Grand Park Royal Cancún signed an agreement with the association Centinelas del Agua A.C. To preserve the aquifer of the Yucatán Peninsula, promoting practices like the 5R of recycling: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle.
Additionally, Park Royal Beach Cancún participates in the Caribe Circular project, promoted by the UN, to reduce the use of single-use plastics. They have replaced plastic bracelets with fabric versions, showing their compromise to the reduction of residue.
SOCIAL: COMPROMISE WITH THE COMMUNITY
Social responsibility is an essential pillar of Royal Holiday. Through the Royal Holiday Foundation, they have had programs like “Vacation for All”, which offers vacation experiences for people in vulnerable situations.
This commitment has been recognized with the Socially Responsible Company Distinction (ESR), awarded by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI), which Royal Holiday has received for several consecutive years.
ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY: ENCOURAGING LOCAL DEVELOPMENT

Royal Holiday Vacation Club promotes sustainable economic development through implementing programs that benefit both their collaborators and the local communities. Through the Sustainability Education Program, they train suppliers and employees in sustainable practices, strengthening the chain of value and ensuring a positive economic impact.
CULTURAL: PRESERVING LOCAL IDENTITY

Royal Holiday is fundamentally concerned with preserving local culture. In collaboration with the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas (CONANP), it has worked on the conservation of archaeological sites such as the Temple of the Scorpion in Cancún and the San Miguelito Archaeological Zone.
Additionally, they promote local gastronomy in their restaurants and they organize cultural activities that allow guests to connect with the traditions and customs of each destination.
Royal Holiday Vacation Club shows it is possible to combine high-quality vacation experiences with a genuine commitment to sustainability. By integrating responsible practices in the environmental, social, economic, and cultural aspects, they not only offer unforgettable vacations but also contribute to the wellness of the planet and the local communities.
